Emergency medicine is decided in the first few minutes, so the question of who is on the floor matters more here than almost anywhere else in healthcare. These are the physicians who staff our department, what they trained in, and where they trained.
Any licensed physician may work in an emergency department. A physician who is board certified in emergency medicine has completed a residency specifically in this speciality and passed the board examination for it. The distinction shows up in the cases that do not announce themselves: the chest pain that is not cardiac, the abdominal pain that is, the patient who looks well and is not.
Training served in emergency departments, not adapted from another speciality.
A physician is physically present at every hour, including weekends and holidays.
Decisions are made with results in hand rather than deferred to an appointment.
Board-certified emergency medicine physician
Dr. Tavangarian practices in Kingwood and the greater Houston area, and has spent more than ten years working in emergency departments. That span covers the whole range of the speciality, from acute illness through trauma to the decisions that have to be made before all the information has arrived.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his emergency medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital. Alongside his clinical work he is a co-owner of Aether Health, where he contributes to how care is designed and delivered across the group.
Emergency medicine physician
Dr. Amro treats patients across Texas, with a practice centred on acute and complex presentations. Those are the cases where the useful qualities are a steady hand and a clear decision, often before a diagnosis is settled.
He is a co-owner of Aether Health and is involved in how the group approaches care delivery and the experience patients have inside it.
